Anita Womack is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She served as Associate Producer for HBO’s “Half-Past Autumn: The Life and Works of Gordon Parks” and HBO Sports’ “Ali-Frazier I: One Nation Divisible,” for which she earned a Peabody Award.

She previously worked as a journalist, working at The Associated Press, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal. Betting on Black: The History of Black Las Vegas is her first production and she serves as the Producer/Director.

Bobby Shepard is the director of photography.

He has worked as the DP/Camera Operator on the following productions: Pete Seeger: The Power of Song (2007); Val Lewton: The Man in the Shadows (2008); Zora Neale Hurston: Jump at the Sun (2008); Marvin Gaye: What’s Going On; The Murder of Emmett Till (2003); Pimps Up, Hoes Down and Eyes on the Prize.
